Softball Recap: Harding Takes a Loss

After flying high against Camden on Monday, Harding came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Como Park Cougars on Friday, falling 18-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-11 two weeks ago.

Marcela Deloye-Romero made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Cadence Lee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Harding now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Como Park, their record now sits at 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding will venture away from home to challenge Washington Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Como Park, they will head out to take on St. Croix Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
