Basketball Recap: Jordyn Webb's Big Game Can't Quite Lead John Hay over Cornerstone Christian

On Saturday, John Hay didn't have quite enough to beat the Cornerstone Christian Patriots and fell 46-43.

Several John Hay players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordyn Webb, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Webb is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Carly Fisher was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

John Hay's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Cornerstone Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

John Hay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-23 defeat against Chardon on the 10th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-47 win against Fuchs Mizrachi on the 11th.
