Basketball Game Preview: Louisburg Warriors vs. Granville Central Panthers

Louisburg is 1-9 against Granville Central since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Louisburg Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Granville Central Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Louisburg is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against East Wake, falling 70-41.

Meanwhile, Granville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to Franklin Academy on the road by a 66-48 margin.

Granville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Louisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Louisburg came up short against Granville Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 51-45. Can Louisburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
