Voyager Academy can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Raleigh Charter Phoenix 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Voyager Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Raleigh Charter into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 8-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Raleigh Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fiona Shipman, who had six aces and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Payne, who had three digs, two aces, and one block.

Voyager Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Voyager Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Neuse Charter on the 23rd. As for Raleigh Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against East Wake Academy on the 23rd.
