Baseball Recap: Laurel Spartans vs. Ellwood City Wolverine

Laurel dropped their record down to 4-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Ellwood City Wolverine, falling 10-3. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverine from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Ellwood City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Beaver Falls at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.44 runs per game on average), something the Wolverine will no doubt try to take advantage of.
