Volleyball Recap: Loveland Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Lebanon on Tuesday, Loveland came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Kings Knights on Thursday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Loveland was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Kings' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Loveland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella George had 13 digs and three assists. George is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Gabbi Ciotti also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Kennady Horsley was nothing short of spectacular for Kings: she had 13 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Horsley a new career-high.

Loveland's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2. As for Kings, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Loveland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Turpin on the 8th. Kings has also already played their next game (against Lebanon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
