Softball Game Preview: Arab Knights vs. Scottsboro Wildcats

Arab is 1-9 against Scottsboro since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.

On Monday, Arab didn't have quite enough to beat Sardis and fell 3-2.

Bella Partington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Lily Livingston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Monday. Scottsboro put the hurt on Fort Payne with a sharp 15-5 victory. The result was nothing new for Scottsboro, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Scottsboro and bumps their season record up to 16-12. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Arab, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Arab suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Scottsboro in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
