The matchup between Lyman and Wekiva on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Lyman Greyhounds were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Wekiva Mustangs. Give the Greyhounds' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Wekiva from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Madeline Dean led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Lyman pushed their record up to 7-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four matchups. As for Wekiva, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman will head out to face off against Geneva at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lyman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wekiva, they will venture away from home to square off against South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
