Basketball Game Preview: Saginaw United vs. Oak Park Knights

Saginaw United will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Oak Park Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Saginaw United will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune two weeks ago. They took a blow against Powers Catholic, falling 75-34. While losing is never fun, Saginaw United can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Powers Catholic is ranked 55th).

Meanwhile, Oak Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Pontiac and fell 56-13. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

Saginaw United now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Oak Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
