Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Comes Up Short

Owensboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Owensboro Catholic Aces. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Owensboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Owensboro Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owensboro will face off against Daviess County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owensboro Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trinity Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m.
