Basketball Recap: Cedar Valley Triumphs

Cedar Valley won the last time they faced Salem Hills and things went their way on Friday too. The Aviators secured a 75-70 W over the Skyhawks.

Austin Biehl was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 63% from the field to rack up 26 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three). Andrik Enriquez was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.

Cedar Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They racked up six more assists than Salem Hills' also-impressive total of 16.

Despite the loss, Salem Hills still got an impressive performance from Elijah Gasser, who went 9-for-15 on his way to 26 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ryder Hales, who shot 71% from the field en route to 11 points and three steals.

The win got Cedar Valley back to even at 1-1.

Cedar Valley has already played their next matchup, a 66-61 victory against Judge Memorial Catholic on the 24th. As for Salem Hills, they will face off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
