Softball Game Preview: Liberty Hill Panthers vs. Glenn Grizzlies

The Liberty Hill Panthers will head out to square off against the Glenn Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Hill will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Liberty Hill faced off against Lockhart on Friday. Liberty Hill came out on top against Lockhart by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Glenn waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Lobos.

Maddy Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

At the plate, Fuego Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jas Dobbins, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Liberty Hill's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Liberty Hill came out on top in a nail-biter against Glenn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will Liberty Hill repeat their success, or does Glenn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
