Eastern Coteau (9 Man) recap September 4, 2013

Ryder Grantham of Hamlin ran for the longest rushing play in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this season against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] last week. Grantham ran for 58 yards on the play and finished with 60 on the day as his team beat the Tigers.

Great Plains Lutheran fell to Deuel 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Lance Eide was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 6 carries, he ran for 129 yards as the Cardinals defeated Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah]. Teammate Jordan Lovre added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.

Reid Valsvig put up the best numbers through the air as Webster bested Wilmot. He finished with 2 completions for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Leiseth was the best receiver in the league this week as Jeff Sheehan's team bested Steven Schiltz's team. Leiseth tallied 3 receptions for 53 yards.

Brody Grantham provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Chargers beat the Tigers. He completed 4 passes for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 104 yards.

Alex Holzwarth was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hamlin bested Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah]. The 6-foot-1 senior racked up 2.5 sacks.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Leiseth. The Hamlin star has 3 catches for 53 yards.

The top two teams in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) will face off this week when first place Webster takes on second place Waverly/South Shore.

The Bearcats led the league in scoring this week by notching 64 points on the Wolves. Valsvig ran for 22 yards in the win.
