Prague suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Prague Red Devils vs. Holdenville Wolverines

The Prague Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Holdenville. While losing is never fun, Prague can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Holdenville is ranked 138th).

Holdenville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Mccoy, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kase Sipes, who scored 11 points.

Prague's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Holdenville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prague's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Seminole's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Holdenville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wewoka at 6:00 p.m.
