Walter came up big in Mead's 5-4 defeat
Mead was sadly handed a loss on Monday, but Kaleb Walter did his best to prevent it. Walter turned in nothing short of a gem: he struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
Walter and Mead will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fairview at 4:00 p.m. Walter has dominated as far as hits are concerned (he's averaged 1.8 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Fairview has only allowed 7.26 per game this season.
