The Pierce Bears will take on the Winters Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pierce comes in on nine and Winters on six.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Pierce and Durham, and Pierce kept the tradition alive. The Bears' defense stepped up to hand the Trojans a 24-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Pierce got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nate Macintosh out in front who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Those 103 rushing yards gave Macintosh a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Jorge, who rushed for 35 yards and one score.
Meanwhile, Winters beat Paradise 28-21 on Friday.
Pierce better keep an eye on Lane Brown. He was instrumental in Winters' win, rushing for 164 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 197 yards and three TDs. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. 83 of Brown's passing yards were hauled in by Luke Felsen, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Winters was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Winters' defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jayden Blackburn and Jake Woods, who racked up 5.5 sacks between them.
Winters' victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Pierce, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Pierce has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 186.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Winters struggles in that department as they've been averaging 218.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Pierce might still be hurting after the 24-0 defeat they got from Winters when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
