Recap: Somerset vs. Uvalde
In what's become a running theme this season, the Somerset Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Everything went their way against Uvalde as Somerset made off with a 4-1 win. Four seems to be a good number for Somerset as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
The victory (which was Somerset's third in a row) raised their record to 4-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Uvalde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-2 record this season.
Somerset will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. Somerset knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Pleasanton likes a good challenge. As for Uvalde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hondo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Uvalde is on a five-game streak of home losses, Hondo a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
