Basketball Recap: Western Takes a Loss

Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-28 defeat at the hands of the Blanche Ely Tigers. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Blanche Ely, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Western will be taking part in a tournament against Mater Lakes Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mater Lakes Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.5 points per game this season. As for Blanche Ely, they will head out on the road to square off against Boyd Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanche Ely's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Boyd Anderson's offense will have their work cut out for them.
