Basketball Game Preview: Statesville Greyhounds vs. Pine Lake Prep Pride + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Statesville Greyhounds will get right back to it and host the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville has given up an average of 71.2 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Statesville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Rowan, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 56-54 on Monday. The Greyhounds haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pine Lake Prep). They came out on top against Christ the King by a score of 68-58 on Friday. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Pine Lake Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Statesville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Statesville took their win against Pine Lake Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 75-54 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Pride's Meelad Doroodchi, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for the Greyhounds to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
