Basketball Game Preview: Richland Raiders vs. Santa Fe Wildcats

The Richland Raiders will face off against the Santa Fe Wildcats on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Richland was fully in charge, breezing past Moore County 72-22. Richland has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 58-55.

Richland is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. Santa Fe's win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Richland came up short against Santa Fe when the teams last played back in February, falling 65-52. Can Richland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
