Basketball Game Recap: Woodlake Tigers vs. Orosi Cardinals

The Woodlake Tigers were the 36-33 winner over the Orosi Cardinals when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Woodlake was the victim of a rough 61-40 loss at the hands of Orosi on Saturday. Woodlake's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Cristian Montejano, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Ramiro Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Woodlake's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Orosi, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Woodlake will be home for the holidays to greet Parlier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parlier will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Orosi and Orcutt Academy will face off at 12:45 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
