Soccer Game Preview: Texas vs. Whitehouse

Texas hasn't had much luck against Whitehouse recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Texas face off against Whitehouse at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Texas is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since January 27. They and Lufkin finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Whitehouse didn't have quite enough to beat Hallsville on Friday and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Bobcats are ranked 440th).

With that draw, Texas' record moves to 2-10-4. As for Whitehouse, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-6.

Texas suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Whitehouse in their previous matchup back in February. Can Texas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
