Volleyball Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Loss

Western Alamance and West Carteret squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Western Alamance had to settle for second. They came up short against the West Carteret Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2017.

Western Alamance was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Carteret work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 28-26, 25-13.

Reese Walker paced Western Alamance's offense, picking up 16 kills. Walker got some help from Kenley Elliott and her 18 assists. Walker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
