Softball Recap: Fordland Comes Up Short

Fordland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norwood Pirates. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fordland's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Norwood, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Fordland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-8 defeat against Willow Springs on the 12th. As for Norwood, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Plato on the 12th.
