Baseball Game Preview: Tahoma Bears vs. Kennedy Catholic Lancers

For the second straight game, Tahoma will face off against Kennedy Catholic. The Bears will head out on the road to take on the Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tahoma is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Tahoma made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kennedy Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears never let the Lancers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sean Evans looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Beckett Turnbow and Trey Davies did most of the damage at the plate: Turnbow scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Davies scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Those three runs gave Davies a new career-high. Jacob Lee was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Kennedy Catholic and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Tahoma, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tahoma has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kennedy Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts.
