Baseball Recap: Evanston Comes Up Short

Evanston managed to slip by Glenbrook North the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildkits lost 11-1 to the Spartans on Tuesday. The Wildkits were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Evanston's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.8 runs. As for Glenbrook North, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

While Evanston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
