Volleyball Game Preview: Taylor Yellowjackets vs. Bishop Fenwick Falcons

The Taylor Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop Fenwick Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Taylor will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Taylor got the win against Finneytown by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Taylor took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-4, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Bishop Fenwick faced Archbishop McNicholas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Rockets. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bishop Fenwick started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-17.

Bishop Fenwick's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Taylor, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Taylor might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Bishop Fenwick in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
