Soccer Recap: Beddingfield Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Beddingfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the Smithfield-Selma Spartans, falling 3-0. If the Bruins were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Spartans when the teams met back in March of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Beddingfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Smithfield-Selma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Beddingfield wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 10-1 defeat against Holmes on the 8th. As for Smithfield-Selma, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against South Johnston on the 11th.
