The Shady Side Academy Bulldogs will challenge the Burrell Bucs at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Burrell took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shady Side Academy, who comes in off a win.
Shady Side Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over East Allegheny. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wild Cats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ty McCaskey made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Trischler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. David Dillon was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Shady Side Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Burrell might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Armstrong who claimed the real prize. The Bucs lost 18-12 to the River Hawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Bucs in their meetings with the River Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.
Bryce Hrivnak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Burrell's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Shady Side Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
Shady Side Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Burrell when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-3. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bucs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
