Flag Football Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Franklin Panthers

The Carson Colts will face off against the Franklin Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carson's defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so Franklin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Carson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with an 18-7 victory over Venice. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Carson's success was spearheaded by the efforts of ROMERO MELODY, who gained 117 total yards and two touchdowns, and SORIYAH MAULUPE, who threw for 122 yards and two TDs. MAULUPE also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carson's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut KAMERYN BLOCKETT. Another thorn in Venice's side was ANAIYAH POPOALII, who made six total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Franklin beat Sylmar 20-12 on Friday.

Carson's record now sits at 9-12-2. As for Franklin, their record is now 16-9-2.
