League recap: Franklin Academy scores huge upset over Potsdam

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Potsdam, who took down 127th ranked Potsdam, 25-14.

Franklin Academy extended the longest winning streak in Section 10 this week by beating the Sandstoners, 25-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Huskies.

Massena's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justin Bestor threw for 101 yards and JP Reagan had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Reagan chipped in 175 yards. Xavier Viskovich helped Massena's passing attack out by catching two balls for 31 yards.

Massena's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rory Corcoran has thrown for 429 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Reagan has 14 catches for 197 yards. Reagan leads the league in rushing with 847 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Red Raiders take on Potsdam. Massena is currently in fourth, while the Sandstoners are in first.

There should be lots of points scored when the Red Raiders and Potsdam face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Massena comes in having scored 244 this season, while the Sandstoners have scored 297. The Red Raiders scored 18 points last week as they topped Tupper Lake.

Franklin Academy moved up to 183 from 210 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 10. The Huskies climbed the ranks as a result of beating Potsdam 25-14.
