Volleyball Recap: Ayersville's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Ayersville suffered their biggest loss since October 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Leipsic Vikings, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Pilots were not able to get on the board.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-13.

Ayersville's offense was headlined by Grace Flory and Brooklyn Michel, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Allison Eldridge and her 12 assists.

Jaelynn Siefer had a dynamite game For Leipsic., getting seven digs and seven aces. That's the most aces Siefer has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ayersville fell to 4-1. As for Leipsic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ayersville will square off against Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leipsic, they will take on Pandora-Gilboa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
