Volleyball Recap: Cary Christian Takes a Loss

Cary Christian lost against Wake Christian Academy on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

While Cary Christian ultimately came up short, they really made Wake Christian Academy work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had ten digs and ten aces. Those ten aces set a new season-high mark for Curry.

Cary Christian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Wake Christian Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cary Christian will venture away from home to take on Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against GRACE Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
