Softball Recap: Cypress Park Comes Up Short

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 18-1 to the Cypress Lakes Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in February.

Cypress Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ailani Holloway, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. That hit marked the first that Holloway got this season.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Cypress Lakes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Cypress Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against Cypress Ranch on the 1st. As for Cypress Lakes, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-2 loss against Waller on the 1st.
