Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If St. John's Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 55-9 takedown of Faith Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers lost to the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks on the road by a 57-40 margin on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-35 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why St. John's Christian Academy lost, don't look at Kylie Finley. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 boards. The match was Finley's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

St. John's Christian Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Colleton Prep Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

St. John's Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-25 loss against Hilton Head Prep on the 1st. As for Colleton Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson Davis Academy at 6:10 p.m. on Monday. Colleton Prep Academy is facing Jefferson Davis Academy at the right time seeing as Jefferson Davis Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
