Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Vernon vs. Richland County

Mt. Vernon is 2-8 against Richland County since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Tigers at 11:00 a.m.

Mt. Vernon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Monday, they were much more limited against Richland County last Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Richland County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
