Football Recap: Cienega Bobcats vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marana, Cienega was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Sunnyside Blue Devils with a sharp 42-21 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Julian Hainley was a one-man wrecking crew for Cienega as he threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Cienega is undefeated when Hainley posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. Cienega also got a significant boost from Gabriel Lopez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Cienega's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunnyside, they will venture away from home to challenge Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
