Baseball Recap: West Port Takes a Loss

West Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Dunnellon Tigers. If the Wolf Pack were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Port saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Soto, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That's the most hits Soto has posted since back in February.

West Port's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Dunnellon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Coincidentally, West Port and Dunnellon will both be playing North Marion the next time they take the field. Dunnellon will head out to face North Marion at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while West Port will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
