Softball Recap: St. Michaels Takes a Loss

St. Michaels managed to slip by Cambridge-South Dorchester the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Saints lost 13-2 to the Vikings on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the Saints' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

St. Michaels saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayleigh Burkhardt, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Michaels has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Cambridge-South Dorchester, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michaels will challenge Colonel Richardson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge-South Dorchester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mardela at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
