Football Game Preview: Milton Academy Mustangs vs. Trinity-Pawling School Pride

The Milton Academy Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Trinity-Pawling School Pride at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity-Pawling School took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Milton Academy, who comes in off a win.

Milton Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Belmont Hill on Saturday. The Mustangs blew past the Sextants 42-22. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Trinity-Pawling School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 53-14 loss at the hands of Hotchkiss School. While losing is never fun, the Pride can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 270th in New York, while the Bearcats are ranked 43rd in Connecticut).

Milton Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average over those games. As for Trinity-Pawling School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
