Volleyball Recap: Yorkville Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Gardner-South Wilmington

There's no place like home for Yorkville Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

While Yorkville Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24.

Yorkville Christian now has a winning record of 12-11-2. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they moved to 16-9 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Yorkville Christian has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Sterling on the 11th. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dwight at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
