Basketball Recap: Jenkins Comes Up Short

Jenkins had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Pathways Eagles by a score of 59-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since February 1st.

Pathways' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Roy Berry led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Qadar Copeland, who shot 44% from the field en route to 18 points and eight boards.

The win made it two in a row for Pathways and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Jenkins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-34 victory against Eau Gallie on the 25th. As for Pathways, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-52 defeat against DME Academy Regional on the 25th.
