Softball Game Preview: Landstown Eagles vs. Bayside Marlins

The Landstown Eagles will take on the Bayside Marlins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Landstown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Landstown came out on top against Princess Anne on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Eagles walked away with a 9-5 win over the Cavaliers. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Aubrey Stapleton was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Cooper McFaul was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Bayside made sure to put some runs up on the board against Salem on Tuesday. The Marlins came out on top against the Sundevils by a score of 11-6.

Bayside's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Landstown, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Landstown was able to grind out a solid win over Bayside in their previous matchup back in March, winning 8-3. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Marlins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
