Lane Tech was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Northside on Wednesday. The Champions claimed a resounding 73-40 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Champions in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Lane Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anais Harris, who went 8-for-17 en route to 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Harris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Vega Ransom-Marks, who shot 40% from the field on her way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Lane Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Northside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Lane Tech will take on Richwoods in a tournament on Monday. Northside and Maine East will round out the year against one another at 11:00 a.m. on the 26th. The Blue Demons have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
