Volleyball Recap: Cass Takes a Loss

Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Pepperell Dragons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cass was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15.

Pepperell was led to victory by Brinkley Wheat and Sydney Smith. Wheat had four digs and two aces, while Smith had three aces and one assist. Those three aces gave Smith a new career-high.

Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pepperell, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Cass will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Pickens at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pepperell, they will face off against Carrollton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
