Basketball Game Preview: Butner Eagles vs. ASTEC Charter Comets

The Butner Eagles will square off against the ASTEC Charter Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Butner's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four contests, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Butner will head into Tuesday's match on the come-up: they were handed a 47-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene back in November. They skirted past Graham/Dustin 23-20. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, ASTEC Charter was able to grind out a solid victory over Mercy School Institute on Friday, taking the game 34-22.

Butner's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for ASTEC Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
