Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Southeastern Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Hamilton Southeastern came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Kankakee Valley Kougars by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hamilton Southeastern was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10.

Leading Hamilton Southeastern to victory were Maye Mcconnell and Jasmine Daniels. Mcconnell had six digs and six aces, while Daniels had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Mcconnell has posted since back in October of 2024. Dara Bush also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Hamilton Southeastern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matchups.

Hamilton Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Kankakee Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Hamilton Southeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mishawaka Marian on the 27th. As for Kankakee Valley, they will head out to take on Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
