Hamilton Southeastern had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Kankakee Valley Kougars by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hamilton Southeastern took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

Hamilton Southeastern had a senior duo take command as Maye Mcconnell had six digs and six aces and Jasmine Daniels had four digs and two aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Mcconnell. Dara Bush also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Hamilton Southeastern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.
