Baseball Game Preview: Menchville Monarchs vs. Denbigh Patriots

For the second straight game, Menchville will face off against Denbigh. The Monarchs will challenge the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Menchville knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Denbigh likes a good challenge.

Denbigh's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Menchville hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Monarchs never let the Patriots get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won 12 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Menchville has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Denbigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
