Football Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston lost against Woodrow Wilson back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 45-34 to the Flying Eagles.

Despite the loss, Preston still got an impressive performance from Slaton Manko, who threw for 292 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of Manko's aerial production (117 yards to be exact) went to Aidan Schmidl, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Woodrow Wilson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
